Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials have found the bear that attacked a Longwood woman earlier this month.
Officials used DNA testing to positively identify the bear responsible for attacking Susan Chalfant in Longwood on December 2.
The female bear was captured on December 9 with two of her three cubs. They hope to capture the third cub.
The bear and her cubs will be taken to Busch Gardens Tampa. The theme park has offered to provide temporary care and housing for the mother and her cubs.
The bears will stay there until the cubs have been weaned off their mother and can be released into the wild, which officials hope will happen sometime in the spring.
After that, the mother bear will be transferred to an accredited facility, officials said.
Another bear captured in the same area shortly after the attack was euthanized.
