ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - An Aspen yoga teacher convicted of groping two of his female students during their poses in class has been sentenced to two months in jail.

Forty-nine-year-old Steven Jon Roger maintained his innocence and says he plans to appeal. Some of his former students defended him during his trial, testifying they never saw him do anything inappropriate. After his jail term, Roger will be on probation for four years. Pitkin County Judge Erin Fernandez-Ely also imposed the maximum fine of $5,000 and ordered him to complete 120 hours of community service.

The Aspen Daily News reports Roger was also ordered to write apologies to the two students, which he says he won't do until his appeals are exhausted.
