Youngsters compete in Pueblo County Fair horseback riding

The Pueblo County Fair kicks off this weekend, and for 4-H horseback riding competitors, it's the most important event of the year. About thirty kids ages eight to eighteen will be competing in a variety of horse shows at the Pueblo County Fairgrounds. Events include barrel racing and pole bending. It's the last competition before the State Fair, and only riders level two and up will be eligible to progress. The fair is open to the public; kids finished Western competition on Saturday, and English and Jimcana will follow Sunday. Ranch Division competitions will happen on Monday.
