Arapahoe Basin Ski area announced today it plans to open for the season Wednesday. According to the resort's blog, they started making snow October 5th and plan to open their High Noon intermediate run to skiers Wednesday. A-Basin also plans to have a few terrain park features ready.... more » -

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is getting its earliest start on the season ever. The resort was opened Friday with one run and an 18-inch base. Some of the features in its terrain park also will be open. Nearby Loveland Ski Area opened Wednesday, apparently the earliestopening in the U.S. more »
