Colorado Emergency Management has issued a statement asking people in the Lamar area to use caution due to downed power lines. The fire in Bent County is estimated to have burned 9,000 acres since last weekend. And while it is 85 percent contained, it is still burning along the Arkansas River near John Martin Reservoir.
