A 14-year-old Girl Scout is raising money to help Waldo Canyon Fire victims. KC Cruz is fundraising to buy 400 Blue Spruce Trees from the U.S. Forest Service to give to families who lost their home in the fire. She is calling her idea, "Trees of Hope."

Old Stage Road and Gold Camp Road will be closed to help firefighters keep the threat of fires down.
Sheriff Terry Maketa says the 2100 block of Old Stage Road will be blocked off at 10 a.m. This closure will deny access to Gold Camp Road.

The Waldo Canyon Fire has caused 32,500 people to be evacuated in Colorado Springs and El Paso County.

Rescue crews are working to help a hiker who apparently fell in Williams Canyon.
Early reports indicate the hiker fell 20 feet and has a head injury and leg injury. This happened about a mile up the Williams Canyon Trail from Manitou Springs. more »
