The investigation continues into an early morning fire at Peak View Storage. Around 4:30 a.m. Friday, firefighters with the Cimarron Hills Fire Department were dispatched to the RV and boat storage center near South Powers and Galley Road. Cimarron Hills Fire Department with mutual aide from Colorado Springs and Falcon Fire Departments has reported the fire at 7075 Palmer Park Blvd, east of Powers Blvd. as fully extinguished. Cimarron Hills Fire Department has arrived at a home on the 7000 block of Palmer Park Blvd with the report of a possible structure fire. When crews arrived they found heavy smoke spewing from the chimney and flames coming from the base. No word on if the fire has... more » -

New information: bizarre HazMat incident had Colorado Springs street blocked

A Colorado Springs street is back open after a bizarre HazMat situation forced its closure in Colorado Springs Tuesday morning. A man attempting to commit suicide barricaded himself in a vehicle with the chemical Hydrogen Sulfide. A HazMat crew suited up in full gear to get the man out.... more »
