You may have noticed some construction on I-25 between Fountain and Pueblo. It's an area of highway that unfortunately sees a number of accidents involving wildlife. UPDATE: fire out at power plant

A fire is now out at the Ray Nixon Power Plant in Fountain. Colorado Springs Utilities say there was a small fire one of the coal dust collectors. Via Facebook they say the systems reacted as they should, with fire extinguishers putting out the fire. No injuries occurred.... more »

Fire crews are responding to a reported fire on the 8th floor of the Ray Nixon Power Plant, south of Colorado Springs. It's located off I-25 at milemarker 125. We have a crew heading that way and we'll bring you more as we get it. more »
