Two D-11 schools on lockdown after robbery

Keller Elementary School and Russell Middle School in Colorado Springs are on precautionary lock down while police search for a robbery suspect. We're told the robbery happened at a nearby Radio Shack on Austin Bluffs. A D-11 spokesperson says no one is in danger at the schools. more » -

Soldier surprises sister at school

A local soldier on leave from Afghanistan made a surprise appearance at his little sister's school this week. Greg Jones visited his little sister Brianna at Russell Middle School on Tuesday, right in the middle of band class. Jones was home for some rest and relaxation during his deployment.... more » -
Broken water pipes close D-11 school

Russell Middle School in Colorado Springs School District 11 is closed for the day because of broken water pipes. District spokeswoman Elaine Naleski says several classrooms have been flooded. more »
