COLORADO SPRINGS - Snowy rooftops in April, if even just a trace, are a good sign when it comes to the drought. There may not be enough moisture to actually help irrigate the lawn, but the freezing cold temperatures have kept most of us from turning on the sprinklers.

It started out slow, but the ski season at Monarch Mountain here in Southern Colorado has definitely picked up. We found out days like today help out a lot.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, 60 students from Miami Yoder were stuck at school because of hazardous road conditions.

Many areas have experienced quite a bit of snow recently, and it still isn't enough to get us out of this drought. Pueblo's water supply mainly comes from the Arkansas and Upper Colorado River basins.

The snow that was supposed to hit overnight was mostly a no show. Dry air took the power out of the storm and left us with only a little snow and nothing much to report on the roads across Southern Colorado.

Numerous accidents reported across the region this morning as slick roads greet morning commuters.
The southbound exit lane of I-25 at Garden of the Gods is blocked by an accident, as well as one westbound lane adjacent to the accident.

Low visibility and airplane deicing are working against airline schedules at the Colorado Springs Airport. The airport is reporting several delays and even a handful of cancelled flights.
