Christmas gifts can light up a child's face.
That's especially true when they're in the hospital, so the Honors Society at Central High School in Pueblo visited them today at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center.

Three grade schoolers in Colorado Springs have certainly made Santa's nice list this year. Hallee Hunziker, 10, Syndey Wagner, 10, and Lydia Glatt, 10, worked all summer and even a few days during Thanksgiving break at their lemonade stand to raise money for charity.

Memorial Hospital for Children is hoping you'll give a new toy to one of the kids in their pediatric unit this holiday season. The hospital's Child Life Department runs primarily on donations and volunteers to maintain a pair of playrooms for patients.

Christmas will be a lot better for about 8,000 Colorado Springs families thanks to "The Best Christmas Ever."

The Pueblo Salvation Army has been inundated with requests for toys for needy children this holiday.
Last year the Pueblo Salvation Army provided toys for 850 children. This year there are requests for around 2,100 children. So far fewer than half those needs have been met.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is collecting toys and clothing for children in Pueblo this holiday season. Donation boxes have been set up in Pueblo-area Loaf n Jug stores. The gifts should be new and unwrapped.
