A train derailed in Southern Colorado. It happened just after six this morning about five miles north of Walsenberg. Huerfano County Sheriff's Deputies say no one was hurt. That train was carrying wind turbines.

CenturyLink reports that much of wireless service in Trinidad, Walsenburg and the San Luis Valley is out due to an inadvertent cable cut. This affects wireless, Internet and long distance service.
There's no word on when service will be restored, but a crew is working on it.

What started as a routine traffic stop for speeding became a major drug bust for police officers in Walsenburg. A juvenile leads law enforcement on a chase across three counties and it ends with an officer-involved shooting. The pursuit started early this morning in Alamosa. Sheriff deputies and state troopers followed the suspect east on highway 160 through Alamosa, Costilla and Huerfano Counties before he was finally caught.

The Huerfano County Courthouse is still closed after chunks of rock starting falling off the courthouse tower earlier this week.
