UPHS offers free public tours the second Saturday of the month from May through September. Come explore the museum buildings and learn some of the history of Ute Pass. Meet at the Museum Center for a guided tour of six historic buildings. Or, take the historic walking tour of downtown Woodland Park. Or both! The gift shop in the Museum Center building will also be open from 10 AM-3 PM.

ATTENTION BEER LOVERS: Woodland Park boasts several venues where you can enjoy local and Colorado-brewed beers.

3rd Friday Art and Wine Walk

Every 3rd Friday of the month, select businesses in old downtown Woodland Park are open extended hours for the monthly art walk event. Some will host special artists or special events. Have a glass of wine and join the fun. Take a walk on the art side!

"Physics is Phun"

Dinosaur Resource Center

Faculty from the U.S. Air Force Academy will present more than 15 physics demonstrations, many of them hands-on. The demonstrations use everyday objects like rotating stools, soda cans and scientific equipment like Van de Graaff generators and Tesla coils to delve into the scientific principles underlying electricity, magnetism, rotational motion, and air pressure. They will also explore the science of hot and cold by making pipes "sing" using a Bunsen burner and creating a banana hammer using liquid nitrogen.

FREE Jazz Concert Sponsored by the Woodland Park Wind Symphony
featuring four great jazz ensembles that will perform a variety of jazz music. Guests arriving between 1:30 and 2:00 will be treated to a "pre-concert" performance by the Dixieland Band known as Dixie Q. At 2:00 the official concert will "kick off" with a musical set provided by Woodland Park's own Big Band known as Swing Factory. This 19 piece ensemble under the leadership of Craig Harms, has established a respected reputation as one of the Ute Pass premiere Big Bands. Following Swing Factory will be performances by the Mark Bovee Quartet and the Colorado Springs Community Big Band under the direction of Floyd Frame. Performances by: Dixie Q (pre-concert), Swing Factory, Mark Bovee Quartet and Colorado Springs Big Band.
